DENTAL ASSISTING – Mastery DA Impact Program

   

 

Berkshire College has a Mastery Impact Program in Dental Assisting providing high-impact training at a rapid pace.The results? You will develop highly efficient skills as a Dental Assistant working in a unified manner with a Doctor of Dentistry. Exactly how does this happen? Our DA Impact! Program implements a system designed to dramatically improve your skills, techniques, and ultimately your life. Class size is limited to 10 students. PRE-REGISTER TODAY!

 

      PROGRAM ELEMENTS

§         From beginners to experienced Dental Assistants, our powerful techniques encourage confidence that builds a solid foundation in team work and proficient technical skills.

§         Our DA Impact! Instructors provide you with new skills, introduce you to new concepts and personally guide you in using state-of-the-art facilities, textbooks, tools, and hands-on techniques.

§         You may choose to participate with our job placement coach. Your personal coach helps you focus on key aspects of Dental Assisting for optimal career impact.

      HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

      You and our DA Impact! Instructor will schedule a ten week period and select one 8-hour session per week. During your 8-hour session, you will learn a comprehensive and hands-on Dental Assisting process that is composed of a powerful Mastery DA Impact Curriculum. Your DA Impact Instructor will guide you, helping you fully leverage your new skills.

      Between your weekly sessions, you will spend time doing critical assignments as you prepare for your certification final.

      The time it takes to complete the coarse is a rapid ten weeks. This allows you to implement your new found skills, interview for job placement with the assistants of our DA job coach, and begin to work in your community. With careful attention to our Mastery DA Impact Program, in addition to self-discipline, you’ll have the confidence and know-how to achieve the results you want in your career as a Dental Assistant

      PROGRAM DESIGN

Week 1 – General introduction to Dental terminology, anatomy, instruments, and equipment.

Week 6 – Oral surgery and periodontics, sterilization of instruments.

Week 2 – Four handed Dentistry, instrument transfer, isolation techniques, assistant positions, hand piece maintenance and sterilization.

Week 7 – Crown and bridge materials, impressions materials, temporaries, bits.

 

Week 3 – Radiology theory and practice, radiation safety, darkroom procedures.

Week 8 – Endodontics, orthodontics, job interview techniques.

Week 4 – Amalgam and composite materials and instrumentation, tub and trays.

Week 9 – Office Management, front desk, appointments, billing, insurance, perio and general charting practice.

Week 5 – Cements and liners, alginate impressions.

Week 10 – Clinical practice.

       PROGRAM DETAILS

§         The Mastery DA Impact Program is strategically organized into a ten-week period with a one-per-week 8-hour session, can be extended.

§         We allow 5 extra subjects  you may attend during the year after graduation in case there are topic areas you need to spend more time on.

§         We allow 10 weeks to complete the certification program, providing flexibility for you to attend 2 make-up sessions.

§         You may continue with the program beyond the 10 weeks at an additional cost per 8-hour session.

§         With the help of your DA job coach, we assist you in job placement and provide on-going coaching and mentoring advisement. When a student graduates, we do not end the Mastery DA Impact Relationship.
